Spring officially comes today. Considering the snow still on
our lawn, I think winter is hanging on as tightly as it can. I love spring when
the brown of dead grass turns green and the daffodil and tulip bulbs I planted
last fall start poking their heads out of the ground. When the trees start
budding, spring can’t be far behind.
They say in spring a young man’s fancy turns to love.
Personally, I think it’s baseball and opening day of the season. Maybe that’s
just me. LOL
Spring Break is coming soon and parents grab their kids and
head for Disney World and other fun places. According to our kids, we always
took them on “encyclopedia” vacations, like Washington, D.C. and Civil War
Battlefields.
Spring Break is a special time for the heroine of my
romantic suspense, One Red Shoe. She’s about to set off on an adventure that will
change her life. For the hero, this spring brings an added complication to an
already complicated situation. As he’s being chased by assassins, he’s falling
in love with a woman who is all wrong for him.
Blurb for One Red Shoe:
Daria Mason’s life is too predictable. Nothing ever happens
in her small Iowa town where everybody knows everybody else. But when she
travels to New York City looking for a little excitement, she never expects to
bring home a wounded spy.
From the moment agent Sam Jozwiak steals intel vital to US
security from a Russian Mafia kingpin, Murphy’s Law takes over. No matter how
he covers his tracks, the kingpin’s assassins find him. What’s worse than
getting shot in the butt? Accepting help from an Iowa tourist.
Sam and Daria flee cross country with the assassins right
behind them. Sharing danger and excitement—and a few kisses—with Sam soon has
Daria convinced he’s the man for her. He thinks she’ll be better off once he’s out
of her life for good. With their lives on the line, can she convince him they
belong together?

My favorite signs that Spring has definitely sprung is the the dull, drudgery colors of gray and more gray finally disappear and the new growth of green grass pushes up from the ground and the flowers in my garden start to come through the dirt with their myriad of colors. Thank you so much for being a part of the Hop.

I love it when the crocuses come up! They are always the first ones up and they are just so dainty & pretty but obviously tough to survive a Saskatchewan winter!
