Congratulations on the award! And thanks for nominating me! :)
ReplyDeleteA teacher actually told you to stop wasting time reader? I'm shocked! Who is this teacher?
I knew that part about wasting time would get a rise out of readers. She was my 5th grade teacher & thought I should be doing homework.
DeleteCongratulations! And thank you for the nomination! I needed something to get me started today!
ReplyDeleteYes, that comment about the teacher not wanting you to read would get to us, esp. those of us who are, or have been teachers!
For me, it was my mom, wanting me to go outside and play. So I would take my book and go outside and read. She was also a reader, but I guess she knew I needed to do more than just read!
As a kid on hot summer days (after chores, of course), I would take a book outside plus an old quilt and lay in the shade of the house.
DeleteI enjoyed reading your answers and facts! I'd love to go to Hawaii some day, and I love Andrea Bocelli's music. Lora Lee's book sounds like a fun read. Thanks for the recommendation. Now I'm off to check out your nominees' blogs. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed learning more about you, Lori, as well as your nominees. Always great to meet new people. Thanks for nominating me.
DeleteDiane, thanks for the nomination! I was late seeing it and will get my answers posted tomorrow, I hope.
ReplyDeleteYou are a great supporter of fellow writers! I look forward to checking out your other nominations. Loved your answers, btw!
Thanks so much, Loralee. No hurry getting yours up. It was fun.
DeleteFun that your names all begin with D! There are five in my family, and all our middle names begin with D. As do both my parents'. And my husband. So we continued it (how could we not?), and our kids both have D middle names.
ReplyDeleteThat's really nice, Shannon. My parents' first names began with D, too. So that made 9 of us with first names beginning with the same letter. Many times, my mom stuttered as she tried to get out the name of the kid she was scolding. LOL
